My Art Sculpture
I did this art sculpture because I wanted to show the public or the viewer’s my love for baseball. My sculpture was showing how to grip a fastball. My goals for this sculpture is to get published online and let people see my work. My life goals is to make it to professional baseball, this is why every artwork I do its going to have something to do with baseball. If I can’t go pro I would always like to be an engineer or coach my own baseball team.
I came to my decision of selecting this position for my art sculpture by getting some advice from my fellow teammates. They knew and I knew that my sculpture would be something about baseball, so since there are many pitches out there they helped me pick one. I decided to pick the fastball because it’s just my best pitch and the one I have more control of. I use a variety of materials such as, paintbrushes, strips, and paint. The paintbrushes were medium sized because I just thought that would make my work less hard and faster, so the brushes were perfect. The colors were just randomly chosen because I think a color doesn’t really express my love for baseball. I also used scissors and tape but that was just to hold up the base. I selected these materials because I thought those were the more efficient ones for my work.
After my great art sculpture I moved on into another artwork. Now we are working on choosing a black and white picture. I’m excited because it’s a new work, but am also worried because I heard we have to draw a person’s face and am not really good at drawing. So I think this project would be a little challenging since it involves something am not really good at. But I’ll do my best just like in every other artwork.

As your Discovery Group Leader last year, I definitely knew this sculpture was yours!

I see that you did take your time in selecting the right pitch, you must have surveyed many of your teammates.

Your dedication to getting it right and asking for feedback is what I remember most from our DG sessions.

How wonderful to see your creative ideas not only expressed by speaking, but also by your sculpture.

Way to Go!
