I chose to make my hand sculpture like this because I think painting your nails isn’t just so they could look pretty, but the way I see it you can paint your nails as though they were mood rings. My nails are the colors I usually use to paint my nails. Blue for sad, black for confident, red for happy, purple for energetic, and green for mixed feelings. The way I made my decisions for my sculpture is how I usually feel. The black and red design is because there my favorite also because there my main emotions. The words around the box “Express urself thru colors” are my artist statement. And the purple hands were just so they could standout. My idea evolved in many ways but they changed a lot. As I went on I made decisions I didn’t plan it out really. So I never really knew how it was going to come out.
