Who am I in Hunts point hmm that’s a good questions. My name is Joliris Gomez and I go to a school call Hyde Leadership High School Located in 830 Hunts Point Avenue. I don’t pay mind to people in the streets in hunts point. I just be myself and get my education. Five years ago I never been to hunts point or even knew what it was. The way I found out about Hyde leadership charter school was in 5^th grade one of the staff in Hyde came to my old Elementary school to give information about the school.

My mom was very interested in attending me to Hyde. I had gotten mad at the moment because I didn’t know what to expect on attending a charter school for the first time. I had gotten to use to public schools. As well of trying a new location that I never been to or even seen before. It was a huge change for me. But I had given it a try.

          In the five years I have attending Hyde leadership charter school in hunts point been a very huge journey for me. I been through ups and downs and learning new things every day. I had chosen this picture to define me as a person in Hunts point because I don’t care what people think of me or what they have to say. I chose to take the picture alone because I’m always an independent. But I do need my Best friend by my side. She does attend Hyde and her name is Gabriella.  She had been my best friend for five years and us always together through ups and down.

For the picture that I had chosen I pick to use the bathroom as my back ground. I pick the bathroom as background because it’s not near people and it’s me showing how I don’t want to be included in to drama. The clothing I had chosen to wear was my school uniform because I wanted to prove a point that I’m in hunts point just because my school is located there. Not to make friends with people in hunts point. Some people in Hunts point outside of school do know me but I don’t talk to them because I think they are disrespectful and I just walk away. There’s more to be continued in Hyde leadership charter that I’m attending in Hunts Point. And every year there's a piece of the puzzle included to who am i.
